From Shailendra and Uvais, this beautiful shawl combines threads of silk in its natural cream color with strands of pale grey. It is woven by hand, evoking mist. The Indian artisans combine tussar silk and soft eri silk. As is typical of genuine handwoven fabric, there are tiny slubs throughout, giving the textile rich textures. Slubs occur when a thread runs out, and the weaver extends it by twisting a new thread together with the old.
